Risk Assessments

PIRA provide local businesses with support towards compliance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (MHSWR) 1999;

Our team of Health and Safety Practitioners are qualified and experienced in carrying out both 'General' Risk Assessments and 'Specific' Risk Assessments in compliance with the following regulations:

Specialised “Specific” Risk Assessments are required by the following Regulations!

  • Manual Handling Operations Regulations (MH)1992
  • Display Screen Equipment Regulations (DSE)1992
  • Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005
  • Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998
  • Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) 2002
  • Working at Height Regulations 2005 etc
  • Control of Vibration Regulations
  • Regulatory reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2006
  • Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmosphere Regulations (DSEAR)

Risk Assessments must address all “significant” risks, be both 'suitable & sufficient' and carried out by a 'competent' person. This means that the assessment must relate to the subsequent regulations and be in enough detail in relation to the risk.

PIRA also offer,
